Murata wanted to demonstrate the potential of their MEMS mirror technology for LiDAR applications. Eclipse was selected among a large number of competitors and delivered a complete turn-key demonstrator system on time and within budget. Eclipse had full project responsibility — covering optics, eye safety, electronics, software, and mechanics — working with a network of specialist partners.
Technology: LiDAR at 1550 nm using MEMS mirror scanning
Challenge: Create a working LiDAR demonstrator on a limited budget to prove the viability of MEMS mirror technology for automotive and industrial applications.
Our contribution: Full turn-key project delivery including optics project management, eye safety analysis, and coordination of electronics, software, and mechanics partners.
