Microscopy

Several employees at Eclipse have PhDs in microscopy. This is a good foundation which in combination with knowledge in manufacturing and optomechanics enables the development of successful products. We have experience with fluorescence microscopy, confocal, STED, x-ray microscopy and phase contrast, in addition to conventional microscopy with Köhler and critical illumination.

We can design custom microscope objectives and help you with sourcing and manufacturing. We can also help you with designing complete micoscope systems, with either custom or off-the-shelf objectives.

Here are more details on our offering in microscopy

  • Optical design – from illumination to detection
  • Microscopy techniques – brightfield, darkfield, phase contrast, polarization
  • Fluorescent microscopy – confocal, super resolution, TIRF, FLIM, FRET
  • Design of custom illumination for microscopy
  • Design and sourcing of microscope objectives
  • Image quality evaluation
  • Troubleshooting
